چکیده
The impact of obesity upon bone metabolism is controversial since both beneficial or harmful effects have been reported. Bone remodeling modulated by the central nervous system through cytokines, hormones and neuromodulators. present study aimed to evaluate evoked bilateral retroperitoneal white adipose tissue (rWAT) denervation (Dnx) mineral in an experimental model rats. Male Wistar rats were fed during 18 weeks with high-fat diet (HFD) standard (SD) as controls, rWAT Dnx Sham surgery was performed at 14th week. Biochemical hormonal parameters, histomorphometry, hypothalamus protein gene expression analyzed. HFD group presented decreased formation increased serum leptin FGF23, hypothalamic neuropeptide Y (NPY) 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 PTH. After Dnx, markers histomorphometry showed restoration formation, NPY decreased, without alteration levels. shows that improved obese mediated a preferential reduction neurohormonal actions NPY, emphasizing relevance tissue–brain–bone axis control obesity.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the associations between leptinemia and the components of metabolic syndrome (MetS). METHODS Fifty-one obese adults (9 men; 36.7 +/- 10.0 years; body mass index (BMI) 46.2 +/- 10.0 kg/m(2)) were submitted to clinical examination, determinations of body fat mass (BF, bioimpedance) and resting energy expenditure (REE, indirect calorimetry), and to hormonal and biochemical ...
متن کاملAdipose tissue changes in obesity.
This review gives a broad description of some of the changes in adipose tissue seen in obesity. There are multiple changes in adipose tissue in obesity: histological, neural and vascular, relating to lipid and carbohydrate metabolism and to adipose tissue's endocrine functions. Some may originate from a simple physical expansion of cell size and number. It is unclear which are the most importan...
متن کاملAdipose tissue angiogenesis in obesity.
Adipose tissue is the most plastic tissue in all multicellular organisms, being constantly remodelled along with weight gain and weight loss. Expansion of adipose tissue must be accompanied by that of its vascularisation, through processes of angiogenesis, whereas weight loss is associated with the regression of blood vessels. Adipose tissue is thus among the tissues that have the highest angio...
متن کاملThe Increase in Hepatic Uncoupling by Fenofibrate Contributes to a Decrease in Adipose Tissue in Obese Rats
Fenofibrate is a drug that has been suggested to inhibit weight gain by increasing the catabolism of fatty acid in the hepatic mitochondria. We hypothesized that fenofibrate induces an increase in energy expenditure in the hepatic mitochondria, which results in the reduction of adipose tissue. In this study we measured hepatic uncoupling protein (UCP)-2, -3, core temperatures and abdominal fat ...
